About the Position: The position is located at Womack Army Medical Center within the Quality Services Division. Hours of work are Monday-Friday 0700-1530. The position does not support telework. This applicant supports the organization's mission to remain Joint Commission survey ready through on-site observations, data analysis, and leadership engagement.

Duties
Proficient use of MS Office Suite.
Data aggregation and analysis.
Forward facing strategic engagement with organizational leaders.
Provide regulation interpretation and education to support organizational compliance to the Joint Commission standards.
Develop, facilitate and/or participate in data presentations for the executive leadership team and organization.
Able to work independently and as a team member.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- This position has mandatory seasonal Influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal Influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
- This position requires the incumbent to have Tuberculosis testing.
- Lifting up to 35 pounds may be required.
- This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

Basic Requirement for Compliance Consultant:
Degree: Bachelor's or graduate (or higher level) degree with major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing office automation software to produce correspondences and reports; assisting with identifying problem areas within healthcare systems and/or processes related to patient care; preparing and presenting statistical data reports for management; and/or interpreting standards for policy development and disseminating information for educational purposes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
