The primary purpose of this position is to ensure Security Forces Group personnel are mission ready through a proactive scheduling program to maintain personal readiness.
Duties
Manages scheduling program for Security Forces Group (SFG) personnel. Acts as the 91 SFG, 91 Space Wing for non-Security Forces deployers, Combat Arms (CA) scheduler and is responsible for coordinating training dates with all 91 SFG units and ensures all training requirements are met.
Coordinates with host and tenant wing agencies to schedule training to meet mission readiness requirements.
Attends, arranges, and conducts meetings, briefings, and workshops and performs other duties related to Security Forces scheduling.
Uses a variety of office automation hardware, software and peripherals in the performance of military personnel functions and performs other clerical support work.
Ensures the education and compliance with proper safety standards and health habits in all work areas. Acts as the unit alternate Ground Safety Program Manager. Conducts safety inspections as required. Reports all known safety violations to the proper authority as required.

- This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.
- Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, National security and public safety.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- Working in an indoor/outdoor environment while performing additional duties will be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, to include the Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions for the GS Security Clerical and Assistance Series 0086.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service which includes knowledge of a body of standardized security rules, regulations, and directives to perform a full range of standard personnel security assignments such as processing a variety of security actions, processing forms for various investigation requirements, reviewing reports of information/investigation on individuals to determine whether to establish Security Information Files, responding to routine inquiries about personnel security matters, and identifying mismatches and erroneous data on reports.

EDUCATION: Applicants must have successfully completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education by 36. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify) (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of CA, ancillary, deployment training processes and planning/scheduling methods sufficient to carry out duties/assignments.
Knowledge of Privacy Act/Health Information Protection Act (HIPA) requirements and the process of scheduling medical/dental appointments.
Ability to plan, organize work, conduct formal meetings, follow instructions and accomplish multiple ongoing projects while maintaining a strict safety environment.
Ability to operate word processing, spreadsheets, Power Point, scheduling programs and/or computer systems. A qualified typist is not required.
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, with a diverse group of individuals, using a high degree of tact and diplomacy.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE MEMBERS: The VOW Act requires federal agencies to treat an eligible active duty service member as a veteran, disabled veteran, and preference eligible (as applicable) when applying for civil service positions before the effective release or discharge date. Appointment of military members before the release or discharge date is permissible if the member is on terminal leave. At the time the active duty member applies for a civil position, he or she must submit a "certification" memo in lieu of a DD-Form 214,
Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty. Active duty members applying for a civil service position without submitting a valid certification memo or DD-Form 214 with their application will render the member ineligible for the position. The certification memo must originate from the member's military service branch on official letterhead and contain the following:
