About the Position: This is a military technician position with the 99th Readiness Division Regional Support Command (RSC), Equipment Concentration Site (ECS) 24 located at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania. This position requires an active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve before a start date can be set. Duties

Plans weekly and monthly work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinates. Establish deadlines and priorities based of work schedules and policies established by higher levels of supervision. Explain work requirements, methods, and procedures; instruct subordinates in the new procedures; and provide advice when problems arise. Review in-progress and completed work for adequate quantity and quality. Investigate work related productivity problems and identify corrective actions that can be implemented for improvement. Develop performance standards; counsel employees on performance; make formal and informal performance appraisals. Interview candidates for vacancies and recommend selections. Maintain production reports and records. Identify employee training needs and initiate recommendations to provide necessary training. Operate the full range of gasoline and diesel powered vehicles. Perform operator’s maintenance on all vehicles in accordance with established rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires membership in the US Army Reserve (USAR).
  • This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.
  • This position requires a medical examination prior to employment.
  • This position requires a Class A CDL within 90 days of employment.
  • This position requires a Personnel Security Investigation.

Ability To Lead or SuperviseAdministration and ManagementOperation of Motor VehiclesPlanning and EvaluatingTraining and Employee Development Physical Effort Required: Performs work on hard surfaces and in work areas that require the worker to stand, stoop, bend, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Work at a rapid pace for long periods of time. Moderate physical effort is used in operating hand and foot controls when driving, turning, stopping and starting the forklifts and motor vehicles and in raising, lowering and tilting the forklift loads. Working Conditions: Subject to working out-of-doors during periods of inclement weather. Is exposed to serious injuries while operating vehicles over public roads and on the installation. Works on concrete floors and in drafty areas. May be exposed to fumes, fluids, dirt, battery acids, etc., resulting in bruises, cuts, burns, and skin irritation. Wearing of hearing protection and other safety equipment is required during all periods of exposure to hazardous conditions.
