Duties

Provides customer service support in a Golf Course retail store (Pro-Shop) by demonstrating and selling specialized golf merchandise. Maintains merchandise by stocking shelves, displaying goods, pricing all merchandise, keeping the area neat and orderly, performing minor cleaning as assigned and assisting management with inventory. Makes reservations for tee times and answers questions regarding golf programs and events. Must be familiar with golf programs offered in order to provide patrons with information concerning available services in any area of the facility. Provides prompt and courteous service with a positive attitude towards guests in order to project a positive image of the activities and programs. Receives payment, records sales on cash register and makes change and issues receipts. Ensures proper internal control procedures on key issues and money transactions. Reports incidents to management. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR215-3, 2-13i to include a National Agency Check (NACI).
• The activity is open 7 days a week and the hours vary on the weekends. Must be able to work a schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events held throughout the year.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements are: Must be able to communicate in English (both written and verbal). Knowledge of basic math. Experience in retail sales and cash register operations. Applicants meeting the following will be considered Highly Preferred: Six (6) months of customer service experience. Six (6) months of basic computer skills and experience. Experience working at a golf course. Experience using a point of sale (POS) system such as RecTrac or a similar golf point of sale system. ***Applicants that meet the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first.
