You will serve as a EMERGENCY MANAGER in the MARINE CORPS INSTALLATIONS CAMMAND of MARCORPS NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION.
Duties
You will work within the Operations Branch and report directly to the Director, Operations.
You will utilize current risk management strategies, tools and resources to accomplish the mission and goals of Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM) and participates in all major planning decisions involving emergency management.
You will set the strategic direction for the MCICOM Installation Emergency Management Program and aligns the headquarters staff, the Regional and Installation emergency managers, and all supporting activities with that direction.
You will develop Emergency Management policies, determine requirements, allocate resources, manage personnel acquisition and apply risk management strategies as needed.
You will monitor all installation EM programs for effectiveness and initiates action to redirect efforts, resolve deficiencies, and implement lessons learned as appropriate.
You will direct the planning for present and future programs and projects, direct long-range planning, and
lead integrated and consolidated projects within the Emergency Management Division.

- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Demonstrated experience managing Emergency Readiness or Response programs with additional experience assisting in the development and integration of policies to maximize efficiency and success of a program.
