Duties
You will plan and lay out work from electrical and electronic block diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical orders.
You will visit work site and analyzes, evaluates, and determines damage when planning repair and modification projects.
You will perform functional tests to determine if any operating defects are present by exploration of probable reasons and to locate equipment, component, and/or subassembly malfunctions.
You will troubleshoot problem areas and inspects for defective components.
You will install, overhaul, repair, fabricate, and or modify various types of electronically controlled industrial equipment characterized by moderate complexity of design, construction, and function.
You will perform preventive maintenance on electronic control systems to include disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration.
You will review work order requirements reflecting systems to be overhauled, repairer, fabricated, or modified.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This position may require emergency overtime.
- Recall to duty may be a requirement of this position.
- This position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth.
- Work conditions require the employee to drive a government motor vehicle. The employee is required to maintain a government driver's license at all times for this position. Government driver's license training will be provided by the government.
