You will serve as a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in the N9 of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE CTR CORONADO.

Duties

You will plan and properly executes Operating Target Accounting and Reporting (OPTAR) funding, to include accounting, requisition, and government charge card open purchases, as well as timely preparation of required reports. You will maintain a record of N9E, Temporary Additional Duty Travel Target (TADTAR) expenses. You will ensure allocated funds are used in conformance with guidelines and instructions and adheres to all financial policies and procedures established by the command. You will analyze logistics and financial reports to detect failure trends. You will serve as Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) administrator to maintain accurate inventory of equipment. You will serve as the supply and logistics manager and advisor to the N9E Director.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Establishing annual budgeting and financial documents with a familiarity in methods and programs for annual budget execution; Providing assistance with ordering, manifesting, delivery, and/or disposal and turn-in of material; Applying a practical knowledge of well-established and commonly applied supply and logistics management principles, concepts, methodologies, to resolve logistics support/service problems. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
