Duties
Responsible for the performance management of assigned personnel to include performance appraisals, employee development, and mentoring for career progression.
Provides feedback and counseling as needed to increase employee performance. Monitors organizational climate and endorses empowerment and creativity.
Leads organizational interactions with customers and works to resolve problems. Assigns work and assesses progress and milestone accomplishments.
Serves as approval authority for time, training, financial disclosure, and travel of subordinate employees.
Develops organizational strategies, budgets, plans and tracks execution of obligations and disbursements. Actively participates in leadership development and encourages participation in subordinates.
Develop, recruit and support strategic hiring direction which builds and maintains core competencies in simulation-based training and exercises that meet the technical challenges of the joint/COCOM environments.

- This position requires a Special Sensitive Top Secret SCI security clearance.

Specialized Experience : To qualify for the DE-05, applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (DE-04) which includes performing the following: This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level: (1) Experience in applying Department of Defense/Service specific policies on complex Modeling and Simulations (M&S) defense systems, (2) Experience in understanding and applying the M&S Training and exercises systems engineering related to the delivery of complex end to end Joint Exercise Planning requirements and Event execution (3) Experience in providing technical leadership to multi-functional teams. (4) Experience in leading and participating in activities with Senior Leaders, ensuring technical requirements, readiness and mission critical delivery and are achieved. (5) Experience in identification, evaluation, and integration of innovative, cutting edge, and state of art M&S technologies into multinational theater level training and exercises architectures.
