The position is located in the National Park Service Unit.
The primary purpose of this position is to perform routine work involved in the maintenance of the park grounds, structures, buildings, and utilities.

This position is not eligible for remote work.
Duties
The major duties of the Maintenance Worker position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provides simple and routine maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings, equipment and related utilities.
Safely and effectively, uses hand power tools required for the job and has the ability to maintain these tools properly of a variety of trade practices associated with occupations such as masonry, carpentry, plumbing, roofing, and painting.
Assists higher grade maintenance employees in the performance of maintenance tasks.
Performs minor repairs for a variety of trade practices associated with occupations such as masonry, carpentry, plumbing, roofing, and painting.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:

Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, Inc.
Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)
Use of Measuring Intruments
Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (includes blueprinting reading)
Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
Knowledge of Materials
