As a Program Integration Manager in the Integration Division of the Johnson Space Center, you will serve as a Programmatic Assistant to the Flight Operations Directorate Assistant Director for the Commercial LEO Destination Program (CLDP). You will be responsible for integrating technical and budgetary work and representing the Flight Operations Directorate to the associated program when the Assistant Director is not available.
Duties
Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
Support Flight Operations Directorate (FOD) by establishing and managing the FOD Program baseline (cost, technical, schedule, risk) including policy and process, communicating program unique direction, and addressing actions.
Manage costs including budget development and managing performance to plan; may include directorate/center support to FOD responsibilities.
Lead integration efforts, develop technical assessments and risk summaries, assemble input from multiple experts, develop forward plans with other directorates, and provide crew perspective for design insight/requirements development.
Represent and support the Division as necessary, with work related to assigned program (i.e. division budget, Certificates of Readiness, Flight Readiness Reviews, etc).
Chair or lead assigned Directorate meetings; provide support in lieu of the Assistant Director (AD), as necessary, in FOD senior management level meetings.
Assist and guide FOD Subject Matter Experts and technical assistants, and communicate the commander’s message and intent, per vision and expectations established by the AD and Flight Director.
Identify gaps, issues, and challenges and provide recommendations and solutions based on direct knowledge of the program and FOD work.
Represent the Directorate at Program Boards, Panels, and forums.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Education Requirement (in the Education section below), to qualify for this position you must meet the requirements below and have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above.
NASA utilizes OPM-approved qualification and rating requirements specific for Aerospace Technology (AST) positions which recognizes NASA's unique aerospace work. The specific qualifications and minimum education requirements are further described below and within the education section of the job announcement.
To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level:
Providing subject matter expertise for a technical discipline including development and execution of procedures, training, or other operations products in support of a human spaceflight, aerospace, or engineering mission;
Supporting a team of technical discipline engineers to solve a problem, achieve a goal, or develop a product with resource and/or schedule constraints;
Supporting a multi-discipline team to plan and execute real-time human spaceflight operations, or to develop and execute training of an assigned astronaut crew for a human spaceflight mission.
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
Providing oversight of a technical group which can include training and certification flows and/or managing work assignments and priorities to meet program and directorate goals to ensure mission readiness;
Leading a team to execute mission operations or training in support of a human spaceflight, aerospace, or engineering mission;
Providing an assessment of mission readiness for a human spaceflight mission such as for a Flight Readiness Review.

Education
Basic Education Requirement: You must have successfully completed a bachelor's degree with a major in one of the following:
a) Engineering from a college or university that has ABET accredited engineering programs
b) Physical Science, Mathematics, Life Science or other field of Science
c) Computer Science that included 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours of course work in any combination of mathematics, statistics and computer science with at least half of those hours in mathematics and statistics courses that included differential and integral calculus; and that provided an in-depth knowledge of theoretical and practical applications of computer science, including digital computer system architecture and system software organization, the representation and transformation of information structures, and the theoretical models for such representations and transformations.
If you did not complete a qualifying bachelor's degree, you may be eligible if you have obtained a graduate degree in an AST qualifying field, as listed above.
Degrees in engineering technology are
not considered qualifying for this position.
