About the Position: This position is in the Defense Health Agency (DHA in San Antonio, TX, and serves as an Operations Specialist for the Defense Health Network West and its geographical area of responsibility.

Duties

Provide centralized expertise for each network type to support the evolution and optimization of the network construct after certification Apply a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to assess and improve network effectiveness. Oversee the day to day staff operations with regards to providing guidance to the Networks. Receive and analyze taskings and orders from multiple sources. Disseminate pertinent messages for action and determines stated and implied impacts on the agency’s mission and resources.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.
