This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Clinical Standards and Quality, Center for Clinical Standards and Quality (CCSQ), iQuality Improvement and Innovation Group (iQIIG).
As a SUPV HEALTH INSURANCE SPECIALIST, GS-0107-14, you will serve as Deputy Director of DTCP/iQIIG providing leadership and executive direction for implementing assigned programs withing DTCP.
Duties
Uses administrative, clinical, and/or survey data to conduct, assess and evaluate quality improvement initiatives.
Models the continuous improvement philosophy by continually evaluating and improving assigned projects or programs.
Monitors legislative, regulatory, and operational developments related to those programs and coordinates development of related regulations and legislative proposals with appropriate CMS components.
The incumbent facilitates collaboration with customer, stakeholders, public groups, and private sector groups in the assessment of quality measures and the dissemination of quality measures.
Lead multi-disciplinary teams to conduct and provide leadership for quality improvement and evaluation initiatives.

In order to qualify for the 14 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the 13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include:
(1) Managing projects focused on improving quality improvement and innovation healthcare delivery; (2) Developing strategies to drive quality improvement and innovation in service delivery to improve healthcare delivery; AND (3) Overseeing work activities of employees or teams to ensure that program operations are met.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
