About the Position: This position is part of the Reemployed Annuitants Cadre. Employees occupying these positions will provide emergency support to disaster-stricken areas throughout the United States.
Duties
Execute studies/projects related to procurement performance/management areas, often requiring cross-functional coordination with Districts/Centers, Regional Contracting offices.
Identify potential problems and recommends alternatives for resolution.
Administer technical procurement assistance and support to senior Procurement Analysts.
Maintain administrative, reference and technical files in accordance with prescribed functional filing system.
Update leadership on current changes in reference directives and manuals
Present briefings to higher levels.
Participate in initiatives to improve the procurement process.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This is an Intermittent position. You may be scheduled from 0 to 30 hours per week based on need.
- Employees occupying these positions will provide emergency support to disaster-stricken areas throughout the US.
- Employees must be prepared to live and work in extremely austere conditions.
- Work schedule will initially be arduous, with much overtime.
- Sleeping arrangements may be limited to using a sleeping bag, or in the vehicle used to move from location to location.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Analyzing procurement regulations for compliance; 2) assisting in the administration of contracts for the organization; 3) performing administrative duties such as fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, power point, filing, and tracking all personnel actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
