This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA Enterprise Integration and Innovation (EC).
Duties
Serves as Deputy Director, Enterprise Integration(EII) and Innovation directing, coordinating, and overseeing work of assigned personnel to ensure consistency in strategic plans function, operations approach, methodology, tools, and analytical scope.
Oversees management of program initiatives for the EII Director and facilitates the exchange of concepts, management techniques, technology advances, and productivity improvements within DoD and throughout other Federal agencies.
Establishes strategic priorities, sets policy guidance, directs day- to-day operations, determines resource allocations, and provides general administrative guidance for a workforce composed of six major directorates.
Represents DISA on boards, committees, and other governing bodies (both internal and external to the Agency) associated with implementation projects.
Supports the EII Director in determining goals, objectives, and resource requirements; plans and assigns projects and tasks; and delegates authority and responsibility to subordinates.
Provides strategic planning, programming, and execution oversight of EII’s budget/program plan.
Requirements

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- This position requires a Top Secret /Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
- Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 Executive Branch Confidential Financial Disclosure Report is required.
- This is a drug testing designated position.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-15, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as experience implementing policies, procedures and strategic plans for emerging Information/cyberspace technologies, information management, and cybersecurity; and providing oversight of budget and resource allocations.
Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.
Education
There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experienceat the GG-15 grade level.
Additional Information
The incumbent serves as the Deputy Director of the DISA Enterprise Integration and Innovation (EII) organization. EII is composed of multiple sub-organizations which support all facets of DISA's mission, including "c-suite" functions including the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Data Officer (CDO), Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)/Risk Official, and Chief Experience Officer (CXO). The Deputy Director assists the EII Director in leading, organizing, evolving, and managing all aspects of the overall organization. In addition, the scope of responsibilities includes overseeing and coordinating supporting services for the broad organization, coordination with other agency principals in supporting agency initiatives, and ensuring that the organization is appropriately addressing all administrative requirements.
