You will serve as a PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the Department of Psychiatry of UNIF SRVS UNI OF THE HLTH SCI.
Duties
You will coordinate administrative aspects of Department of Psychiatry courses and modules.
You will provide support to the department by communicating and providing guidance to the faculty and students as needed, secures faculty presenters and facilitators, reserves facilities, disseminates materials.
You will serve as secondary Department liaison to the Administrative Officer with USUHS civilian and military personnel offices.
You will coordinate and manages the process of the department Search Committee selections/appointments of faculty positions and attends Search Committee meetings.
You will manage logistical aspects of Department sponsored seminars and conferences (most of which are held at USUHS).
You will maintain Department records and files, including records and logs showing the status of actions and correspondence.
You will authorize and/or certifies Time and Attendance Reports, audio/visual requests, duplicating requests, and various work order requests from faculty and staff.
Requirements

- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying analytical and evaluative techniques to assess program administrative inefficiencies by identifying business procedural and process issues and recommending options for improvement.
GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying analytical and fact-finding techniques to analyze correspondence and administrative processes and identify inefficiencies.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
For the GS-09 grade level:
- Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR
- Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree OR
- Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled. OR
- A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
For the GS-07 grade level
- Successful completion of one full year of graduate level education; OR
- Successful completion of a Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement; OR
- A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
