About the Position: This position is located with the Army Sustainment Command, 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Fort Detrick, Maryland.

Duties

Revise work methods/procedures. Develop cost-comparison studies on all functions of maintenance services performed by contractors to ensure the contractor is performing satisfactorily. Serve as advisor on maintenance functions. Monitor contractor business performance with regard to the installation maintenance mission. Review written assessments of maintenance contracts. Coordinate highly complex requirement issues with organizational representatives to ensure that military units are operationally ready and mission capable. Develop policies and procedures governing the maintenance assigned to units and satellite activities for Field/Sustainment support maintenance and assistance.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary duty travel of 20% may be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.
