This vacancy is for a WG-2892-08/10, Aircraft Electrician located in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Short Range Recovery (SRR) Product Line, SRR Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) Branch, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. You will serve as an Aircraft Electrician and be responsible for performing aircraft electrician journey level duties and training others in that trade.

Ability To Do the Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision(SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT) Knowledge of Electrical Equipment Theory and Instruments (Electrical, Electronics) Used in Shop and Trade Practices Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Ability to Use Electrical Drawings Ability to Use and Maintain Hand Tools (Electrical Work) Trouble shooting (electrical) Applicants must have journey level experience in the electrical trade troubleshooting, modifying, repairing, maintaining and testing complex aircraft electrical systems, components, and accessories with intricate wiring. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. Education
