You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Force Protection Division of COMNAVREG MIDLANT NORFOLK.

Duties

You will serve as the resident subject-matter expert and resource person in the instructional areas of Naval Security Forces. You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and capabilities of employees. You will identify development and training needs of employees. You will conduct lectures, discussions, guided conferences and other demonstration methods to communicate NSF training tactics, techniques, procedures, and practical application sessions to variety of staff members.

• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Implementing a Regional Training Academy training program to sustain the agencies installation readiness; 2) Ensuring that instructors apply a variety of instructional techniques including lecture, seminar, conference, and group discussion; 3) Preparing, delivering, and training others, including RTA and installation instructors, in the delivery of Navy Security Force course material; and 4) Providing technical and operational support to installation Navy Security Force on matters relating to NSF training programs, polices, procedures, and policy/procedures development.
