About the Position: This position is located at the Army Health Clinic Presidio/Monterey, California. The incumbent will perform training duties associated with provider, nurse, medical technician/assistant, and clerical user access and use of the systems for documenting patient care. Office hour: 0600 to 1400 Monday to Friday 0730-1600 M-F-0700-1600 Recruitment or Relocation Incentive may be Authorized.

Duties

Administer training on Electronic Health Records (EHR) system to the medical treatment facility staff to support the mission. Set up training environments that allow users to practice using EHR software. Identify the training needs of different user groups and tailor programs accordingly. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to users as they learn to use Clinical Systems and the EHR system. Explain complex technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner. Brief management on new strategies for integrating or improving training.

Requirements

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as, Health Information Management, Health Informatics or Computer Science. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) . OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
