You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (Military) of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will serves as the point of contact for communications on issues dealing with the submission and approval process for personal and unit awards and the application of DON decorations policies.
You will oversee electronic boarding, preparation, and final processing and recording of awards approved by the commandant of the Marine Crops.
You will conduct research and prepare correspondence in reply to queries to verify entitlement to service, campaign, unit and personal awards by individual marines and marine veterans.
You will maintain correspondence files and perform other clerical duties.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications
GS-07:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing clerical and administrative support related to a human resources or personnel program including performing the following duties: 1) Receiving and responding to inquiries from various sources about human resources/personnel awards and related issues. 2) Preparing, processing, and recording awards. 3) Maintain correspondence files and utilize a human resources or personnel database.
GS-06:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing expertise in clerical and administrative support related to a human resources or personnel program including performing most of the following duties: 1) Receiving and responding to inquiries from various sources about human resources/personnel issues. 2) Preparing, processing, or recording awards. 3) Maintain correspondence files and utilize a human resources or personnel database.
