You will serve as a LEAD SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the AVIATION SUPPORT DIVISION, SUPPLY DEPARTMENT of the Supply Response Branch, Naval Air Station, North Island.

Duties

You will analyze and review the Ready Maintenance Support (RMS) database to ascertain effectiveness of the RMS stores. You will screen and research demand history for addition, deletion, increase and decrease possibilities based on customer demand. You will monitor high and low limits and place orders when stock reaches low limit. You will develop computer generated reports and statistical graphs and provides performance synopsis You will research material ordered or received against requisitions and receipts to determine irregularities in orders. You will research and perform follow-up on incoming shipments of stock that are over, short or damaged and perform necessary corrective action. You will recommend changes in procedure to management to ensure smooth operations of each of all RMS stores. You will provides on-the-job training, set priorities, assign work, and assist in the technical performance of required job duties. You will spot check inventory receipt processing and shipping records, and ensures the accuracy of data input to update files.

Requirements

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require the ability to lift/carry 40lbs.

Qualifications

GS-06 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector retrieving data reports from automated supply systems to investigate and reconcile supply transaction discrepancies and monitor inventory adjustments in order to ensure accurate and effective supply operations. Education

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

One full year of graduate level education that is directly related to the position being filled;

OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
