THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a HAZMAT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number PDD1411P01 and is part of the WY 153rd Logistics Readiness Squadron, Wyoming Air National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.

Duties

This position is located in the Wyoming Air National Guard, 153d Mission Support Group, 153d Logistics Readiness Squadron, Materiel Management Flight's Asset Management Section. The primary purpose is to provide management control, oversight, coordination, and implementation of the 153d Airlift Wing's (153 AW) "HAZMAT Pharmacy" program and operation. This position facilitates the mission of receiving, distributing, tracking, reporting, and serving as the primary point of contact for base hazardous materials. Serves as a technical advisor to the 153 AW Commander, staff, and base personnel regarding hazardous materials. A broad knowledge of general supply, storage, distribution, and inventory specializations is required; in addition to a knowledge of Federal, State, and USAF safety and environmental rules and regulations to ensure regulatory compliance. Manages, controls, oversees, coordinates and implements the base HAZMAT Pharmacy program and function. Provides day-to-day management and oversight of assigned personnel and monitors daily HAZMAT operations and activities. Identifies new HAZMAT and customer requirements. Controls IEX-coded materials, processes and approves customer requests, enrolls new customers, requisitions hazardous materials, performs research, verifies data, etc. Receives, issues, stores, and ships hazardous materials. Determines storage requirements, arrangement of materials, and space utilization required. Serves as the HAZMAT systems administrator utilizing the Standard Base Supply System (SBSS), Enterprise Supply Solution (ESS), Environmental Management Information System (EMIS), and Enterprise Environmental Safety Occupational Health-Management Information System (EESOH-MIS) to manage and update HAZMAT inventory data. Develops base regulations and operating instructions and procedures involving hazardous material requirements and processes in accordance with Federal, State, and military regulations, guidelines, and instructions. ** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. **

Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the 153 LRS. Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 4: Current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 6: Current and prior service military members separated from any branch of the military to include US Air Force, US Army, US Navy, US Marine Corps, US Coast Guard, Reserves, and National Guard components. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess experience, education or training involving administration of supply management, storage, cataloging, packaging and distribution or other work which provided a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-7) and the demonstrated ability researching documents or other resources to coordinate inventory requirements. Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment. Knowledge of supply management, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures. Practical knowledge of a wide range of supply principles, concepts, and methodologies involving general supply, storage, distribution, and inventory specialties as they relate to hazardous materials; to include a general knowledge of contracting and transportation practices. Knowledge of established principles, concepts, and methods of environmental protection relating to hazardous materials; and skill in applying this knowledge to the effective management and control of the HAZMAT Pharmacy. Knowledge and understanding of Federal, State, and military (preferably USAF) safety and environmental standards, regulations, statutes, policies, and guidelines to assure hazardous materials compliance, safe working practices, prevention of damage to government property, and prevention of accidental injuries and mishaps. Experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc. Demonstrated experience with cost estimates, budgets, or funding management. Experience conducting extensive and exhaustive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for supply activities. NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: Enlisted: 2S0X1, Material Management Preference will be given to those candidates in possession of AFSC 2S051. Must possess or be eligible to retrain into AFSC 2S0X1, Material Management Enlisted 2S0X1 ASVAB Requirements: Must possess a minimum score of "41" on the "Administrative" OR a minimum score of "44" on the "General" portions of the ASVAB.
