Duties
You will build, maintain, monitor, secure, and administer servers, data systems, and server based systems.
You will plan, implement, and maintain management services, procedures, and Information
Technology systems to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of the installation’s standard, non-standard, and unique systems and data.
You will manage the Unified Communications data network space, servers, and management workstations.
You will test, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain various hardware/software servers and management systems, system monitoring tools, applications, and databases in both a physical and virtual server environment.
You will apply and track computer system security updates and vulnerability remediation for server systems and associated components either manually or through the use of automated patch management tools/processes.
You will provide technical assistance to project team members and will be responsible for on-site training in all phases of maintenance, repair, and operation of systems to all military personnel.
Requirements

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 451,411 and 441 , proficiency level Intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

Qualifications
I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: I am able to review data from multiple sources and determine relevant information to a given situation. I draft, edit and disseminate written reports and status updates that are factual, timely and relatively error free.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: I develop and maintain relationships with customers with diverse needs. I provide technical information about products and services. I assess the needs of customers and identify or tailor products and/or services to meet their needs. I resolve non-routine problems, questions, or complaints and direct the most complex problems, questions, or complaints to the appropriate person.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: I communicate, explain, or defend ideas or information clearly. I listen to others and recognize potential miscommunications.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: I use logic to identify alternatives to solve problems. I identify and solve problems by gathering and applying information from a variety of materials or sources that provide several alternatives.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
Developing, implementing, evaluating and improving processes and procedures for customer support; managing operations, maintenance and modernization of information networks (i.e. Voice, Video, Data services, Video Teleconferencing and/or Land Mobile Radio); and identifying and recommending solutions on network issues to upper management.

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
