You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT/INFOSEC) in the Information Technology Program of CNATT UNIT JACKSONVILLE.
Duties
You develop problem tracking databases for trend analysis.
You will configure desktop hardware and peripherals (e.g., network cards, printers, video cards, scanners, or similar items) to minimize disruptions of computer operations.
You will interview information technology (IT) system users to ascertain system issues and lead them through diagnostic procedures.
You will plan delivery of information technology (IT) customer support services (e.g., hardware or software installation, configuration, troubleshooting, or similar services) for an organization.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Must be capable of receiving and maintaining a favorable Single-Source Background Investigation (SSBI).
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing network orders and Invoice validation for Information Technology (IT) services; 2) Providing programmatic support with government and commercial service providers of Emergency Land Mobile Radio (ELMR) system operations; 3) Following procurement procedures to ensure appropriate interaction with contracted providers of IT services; and 4) Supporting Public Safety Network (PSNET) related projects such as automated gates and turnstiles at entry control panels.
This position has been designated as a Cyberspace Workforce position in the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) primary work role of IT Project Manager (802) and secondary work role of Information Systems Security Manager (722) - both with proficiency levels as Intermediate and, as a condition of employment, the incumbent of the position is required to obtain and maintain qualification in accordance with DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Management Program, February 15, 2023 and supporting Department of Navy policies.
This designation requires the incumbent to:
1. Obtain the foundational qualification within nine months and the residential qualification within 12 months of appointment and maintain those credentials as described in DoDM 8140.03 for DCWF role of 802 PROJMGR and 722 INFOSEC proficiency levels Intermediate. For more information, please review DoDM 8140.03 and supporting DON policies.
2. Participate in continuous professional development program as described in DoDM 8140.03. An annual 20-hour minimum of Cyber Workforce related continuous professional development must be documented and completed in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor. Continuous professional development begins in the fiscal year after the employee has obtained both foundational and residential qualification requirements.
3. Acknowledge responsibilities in writing via command designation letter. Failure to meet a condition of employment may result in disciplinary and/or adverse action up to removal from federal service.

For GS-11:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
