This SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK/SYSADMIN) is located at the JFHQ-State, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics (DCSLOG) (G4/J4), Sustainment Automation Support Management Office (SASMO) and is part of the CA JFHQ Logistics.

Duties

THIS IS A T5 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK/SYSADMIN), GS-2210-12, is to provide support to Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs to all State/Territories activities/organizations and perform a wide range of specialized methods/techniques for planning; analyzing and identifying problems in order to develop and implement resolutions to administrative and systemic programs throughout the organization.

SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK/SYSADMIN), GS-2210-12: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-11 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Experience advising and providing counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management; Experience providing technical support and remote administration assistance for all subordinate units and Sustainment Automation Support Management Offices (SASMO) within the State/Territory; Experience isolating system failures, determining cause, and initiating corrective actions that require subject matter expertise in the various areas of the systems operations; Experience utilizing knowledge of logistics management principles, policies, and procedures to implement, establish and execute operational plans and policies for automated logistics information systems and programs. Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management ordegree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks

OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
