About the Position: This position is located at Fort Riley, Kansas. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

Serve as official Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for Nutrition Care Division for locally managed contracts. Verify that contractor performs the requirements of the contract in accordance with the contract terms, conditions and specifications. Perform or cause to be performed, inspections necessary in connection with contractors performance and verify that the contractor has corrected all deficiencies. Monitor earnings and expenditures to assure earned rations are not over-expended. Identify and recommend procedural changes, evaluate cost and spending trends, and make recommendations for cost savings and fiscal responsibility. Serve as site manager for the Computrition automated system. Serve as Key Control Officer to maintain accurate records of Key issues and receipts and performs bi-annual inventory of all keys in the department. Oversee procedures, policies, computerized equipment, updates, trouble-shooting, and training for POS system and money handling for Nutrition Care Division.

• This is a Financial Management Level 1 Certified position. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all requirements of this certification program.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
