About the Position: This position is located in the Department of Mental Health, Directoreate of Behaviroal Health at the US Naval Hospital GUAM in Agana, Guam.

Duties
Serves as a Clinical Psychologist Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) for the Clinic and Behavioral Health System of Care (BHSOC) Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) program
Provides individual and group treatment, using various modalities as clinically indicated to include brief problem-focused interventions, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and psychoeducational classes for school-aged children and older.
Performs PCBH biopsychosocial evaluations.
Provides evidenced-based individual treatment and psychoeducational classes for patients enrolled in primary care clinics.
Establishes and monitors objective behavioral outcome measures. Evaluates and revises standard operating procedures. Conducts program evaluation.
Requirements

- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted.
- Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
- This position requires Basic Life Support training certification from, or in accordance with, the American Heart Association and American Red Cross.
- Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
- This position requires regular contact with children under the age 18 and a favorable determination of suitability to do so.

Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist (Behavioral Health):
Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
AND
License: The Clinical Psychologist position requires a current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing bio-psychosocial evaluations; developing behavioral health treatment plans; and providing psychological counseling services.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
