This position is within the FAA, Aviation Safety (AVS), Office of Aerospace Medicine (AAM), Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI), Program Management Staff, AAM-006. The Office of Aerospace Medicine (AAM) develops and manages medical programs in support of Aviation Safety.
Duties
Performs under the minimal direction of the Manager, Program Management Staff. Is a contributing specialist on large work activities related to mission activities across the Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) and the Office of Aerospace Medicine (AAM), an office within AVS. Has sole responsibility for the audio/visual (A/V) communication strategies, policies, and plans for CAMI and AAM, develops and implements all audio/visual (A/V) productions (digital, hard-copy, audio) at CAMI and is the subject matter expert for AAM regarding audio/visual productions and use of A/Vat the AAM-level. Is the subject matter expert for A/V and the inclusion of A/V and independently interacts with internal and external customers to plan, design, and carry out programs and projects which are typically large-scale. Works independently, quickly, and effectively in the production of numerous types of A/V products to support medical education (national AAM program), medical certification (national AAM program), research projects, the CAMI clinic, and other divisions within AAM, including the AAM HQs in Washington D.C. As the subject matter expert, provides guidance regarding computer graphics technology, integrated multimedia systems, video productions, website graphics, audio streaming, video streaming, or any new technologies. Expertise for video production includes consultation, directing, editing, script writing, camera operating, set lighting, and video electronic graphics.
Requirements

Qualifications
TO QUALIFY AT THE FV-I (FG/GS 13) level, you must demonstrate in your application you possess at least one (1) year of Specialized Experience equivalent to FV-H (FG/GS 12) level. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes experience in video production, consultation, direction, editing, script writing, camera operations, set lighting, and video electronic graphics; audio/visual (A/V) projects encompassing print design to visual/video production including the use of animation and real life taping/recording; operating, modifying, and maintaining digital recording and analog video equipment; digitizing paper and photo documents for archiving.ANDQUALITY RANKING FACTOR (QRF): Well qualified candidates will have experience using multiple video recording production equipment, editing, and finalizing productions for use.Applicants should provide examples of Specialized Experience in their Work History.
