You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Public Works Directorate for NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Duties
You will serve as a project engineer technician for major engineering projects associated with weight handling equipment (WHE) systems.
You will assist the Program Manager, Certifying Official, Weight Handling Program Engineer, and Chief Crane Engineer in the analysis and design elements for WHE.
You will make field trips to determine extent and nature of problems associated with WHE.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing principles and theories relating to a wide range of technical engineering concepts, principles and practices necessary to perform the full range of projects with WHE systems; 2) Experience in analysis and design elements for WHE, including but not limited to, detailing alterations, repairs, modifications, maintenance, troubleshooting, weldments, and material and component substitutions; 3) Experience in providing technical guidance and communicating ideas orally and in writing in order to defend/negotiate suggestions; and 4) Reviews and checks designs, procedures, and submittals prepared by others.
