About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain half way between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, Alabama just off interstate 20. The depot is the largest Employer in Calhoun County with approximately 5000 employees.

Duties

Lead worker managing complex electronic control and indicating systems, Numerically/Computer Controlled (NC) (CNC) equipment, electronic components/parts, and electronic test equipment associated with the industrial waste treatment plant. Manages the industrial waste treatment plant equipment, CNC computer programming for reloading the executive computer program, fiber optics, security systems, CLA telephone system, CLA intrusion system, fire alarm systems, and DC motor controls. Checks operational serviceability of electronic and electrical components such as transformer relays, tubes, transistors, silicon rectifiers, diodes, resistors, capacitors, potentiometers, and other component parts Work with production machinery mechanics, plumbers, electricians, and various other trades on equipment ranging from 0-2300 volts Work with production machinery mechanics, plumbers, electricians, and various other trades on equipment ranging from 0-2300 volts

Buildings have concrete floors and there is noise from running machinery. There is possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns and electrical shock. Since exposure to hazardous material/waste is possible, wares protective clothing and safety equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, rubber boots, coveralls, goggles, aprons, gloves, ear plugs, etc.
