Qualifications
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-07 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-06 level defined as providing office support for an organization, researching or reviewing policies.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methodology to permit independent performance of recurring assignments.
Knowledge and understanding of federal and EPA grant program processes and procedures.
Skill in oral communication.
Knowledge of administrative concepts, principles and practices sufficient to perform duties independently.
Knowledge of the program management systems to enter, maintain, retrieve and research information relevant to the program.
Ability to maintain and dispose of files in accordance with regulations and guidelines.
Ability to analyze of facts and issues to determine if problems exist in the application process.
Skill in written communication.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
