You will serve as a DEPUTY CHIEF STAFF OFFICER in the Department of the Navy of COMMODORE SPECIAL WARFARE GRP ONE.

Duties

You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short term priorities, and prepare schedule for completion of work. You will initiate the development and/or modification of business practices as necessary to ensure sound management practices are utilized to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. You will oversee the technical/acquisition/research and development and programmatic efforts of the command.

Requirements

• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance.
• This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) and is subject to random drug testing.
• This is a Mission Essential position and may be required to work overtime.
• 25% Travel may be required. Travel is accomplished using commercial or military aircraft and other public conveyances.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This is a deployable position. The DCSO may be required may be required to deploy forward into a combat zone for extended periods in support of a Special Operations Task force or other Command and Control organization.
• Deployed conditions may be austere and are subject to extreme weather conditions.
• Position requires yearly financial disclosure, OGE 450 Confidential Financial Disclosure Report
• This position is not telework eligible.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing, submitting, and presenting factual information, reasoned assumptions, and cogent arguments that influence, shape, and support key decision making with regards to the development and implementation of strategic vision, goals, organization , and command climate designed to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency in meeting administrative and operational requirements.
