You will serve as a Materials Handler in the Logistics Division, Mission Support of NAVAL WAR COLLEGE.
Duties
You will determine cause of loss or damage to material in transit and research responsibility for the damage.
You will maintain material deliveries or material storage areas to prevent loss or damage to material or equipment.
You will research packing slips or documents with insufficient information to process the material for movement to end-user.
You will maintain records and document actions on inventory.
You will label materials for identification or tracking purposes.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- The work requires walking, bending and climbing and lifting weight up to 70lbs to inspect shipments of material as well as delivery.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is:1) Moving material throughout the facility using material handling equipment (hand trucks and manual dollies); 2) Reviewing shipping documents; and 3) Utilizing basic tools (e.g. hammers, screwdrivers, manual dollies, stretch wrapping rolls, and tape fasteners) in support of warehousing duties.
