The Office of Accident Investigation and Prevention is the principal organization within the FAA with respect to aircraft accident investigation and all activities related to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). Our mission is to make air travel safer through investigation, data collection, risk analysis, and information sharing. This includes developing safety promotion products in support of Safety Management Systems (SMS).
Duties
Safety Promotion requires the targeted communication of risk management activities, risk controls, and best practices to ensure operational employees and decision-makers can manage risk in a dynamic, evolving environment. Safety Promotion also requires the development of training materials to transfer safety intelligence to the front-line operational employee. In an effective SMS, all employees understand their safety responsibilities and can articulate the way safety is managed in the agency.

- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Experience includes:Experience conducting assessments and evaluations of existing safety programs to identify areas for improvement.
