About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, Naval Hospital, Materiel Management Department, Agana Heights, Guam. Incumbent serves as a Supply Technician in the Materials Management Department. The purpose of this position is to requisition medical commodities, equipment, and services.

Duties

Manage the Medical and Surgical inventory for a Medical Treatment Facility. Provide on-site support for the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS). Audits all due-ins and due-outs in DMLSS to correct improper postings and incomplete transactions on automated listings. Responsible for the handling of supplies and equipment within the command to include planning, procuring, provisioning, requirement determinations, acquisition, distribution, consumption, retention, and disposal. Forecast inventory needs based on historical data to prevent shortages. Assist in conducting logistical studies to ensure that supply operations are proceeding in an effective and economical manner.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
  • Required to be screened for and obtain necessary immunizations/vaccinations (hepatitis, influenza, etc.), unless exempted by a licensed physician.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid US State issued driver’s license to carry out position related duties.
  • Required to lift up to 40 lbs. in the regular performance of duties. Pre-employment physical required and annually thereafter.
