Duties
As an Equal Employment Specialist you will:
Assist the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Program Manager in managing the ADR activities related to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaint processing, administrative and negotiated grievance procedures, as well as early intervention.
Conduct ADR services, to include mediations and facilitated discussions, review case materials, identify underlying interests, and explore creative solutions.
Keep updated on mediation practices, legal requirements, and relevant industry trends; and evaluate innovative dispute resolution models and techniques
Design, develop, and deliver a variety of training and continuous skills improvement programs in such areas as: equal employment opportunity, Anti-harassment, reasonable accommodation, mediation, conflict resolution, and team building.
Conduct data analysis, summarize findings, and prepare reports or updates of program accomplishments, status of reaching targets, goals or objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level, which must include the following experience: conducting Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services, to include mediations and facilitated discussions; facilitating communication and negotiation between conflicting parties while remaining neutral and objective; and identifying underlying interests and developing mutually beneficial solutions.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying based on education or a combination of education and experience. An official transcript will be required if you are selected.
College or university degree generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. For a list of schools which meet these criteria, please refer to
