Join us as a Supervisory Business Resilience Manager (STL) and be at the forefront of helping to mitigate risks and integrating technology to prevent losses. You'll be one of the go-to experts on business continuity, leading a team of investigators, collaborating with law enforcement, and developing cutting-edge contingency plans. Your expertise in video surveillance, management software, and POS systems will be invaluable.
Duties:
As a Supervisory Business Resilience Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the resilience of the United States Coast Guard (USCG) non-appropriated funded (NAF) programs. You will lead initiatives aimed at increasing sales, reducing inventory losses, and serving as the subject matter expert on business continuity and risk management. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare for and effectively respond to business disruptions to ensure the continuity and sustainability of operations. This position is located at a Coast Guard Exchange (CGX) field office, making you a vital member of the USCG civilian team.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, investigate theft incidents, and provide training to employees within flagship CGX locations and other assigned areas. This includes addressing point of sale (POS) exceptions and implementing necessary mitigation actions.
Training and Development: Train and mentor Business Resilience Investigators, establishing investigative protocols in line with USCG CSC standards. Develop and implement techniques to enhance team development and ensure consistent execution of policies.
Surveillance and Compliance: Monitor video surveillance systems for adherence to planograms, stock levels, and loss prevention measures. Ensure compliance with safety standards, merchandise protection protocols, and document/report any incidents in accordance with the chain of command.
Contingency Planning: Develop and manage CGX contingency and sustainment plans in collaboration with management. Regularly review and update Business Resilience (BR) plans to ensure they remain current and effective.
Law Enforcement Coordination: Liaise with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies on matters of fraud, waste, and abuse. Establish and execute action plans for investigations, adhering to CSC standards to achieve successful outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Lead meetings with various organizational personnel to develop or assess plans, training, and exercises based on identified needs and resources. Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership for implementation.
Team Leadership: Provide guidance to subordinates, reviewing their reports and duties to ensure compliance with expectations and policy requirements. Provide coaching, mentoring, schedules and directs work and appraises work performance.
In the area of systems and technology lead your responsibilities include:
Serving as the subject matter expert on video surveillance, management software, and POS exception-based reporting systems.
Acting as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for technology-related procurements, conducting market research, drafting procurement requests, and managing contract-related tasks.
Supporting and train the Business Resilience team on the use of these systems, developing business solutions such as dashboards, alerts, and reports to improve functionality and user experience.
Serving as the system administrator for the shopcgx.com e-commerce fraud tool, collaborating with fraud prevention vendors to refine rule sets for minimizing fraud while maximizing sales.
Qualifications
Minimum:
Three (3) years of experience that demonstrates broad knowledge of basic aspects of business, such as cost of goods sold, operating profit, direct and indirect expenses, and cash handling controls.
Basic to intermediate experience with cloud-based or digital video surveillance systems.
Basic to intermediate experience using common MSFT office suite applications with specific emphasis on word processing, spreadsheets, and email applications.
May be required to obtain a job specific clearance and authorization for access to various DOD websites and systems.
This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. may be required.
Preferred (in addition to the minimum):
Associate degree from an accredited university with emphasis in retail management.
Loss Prevention Certification (LPC) or Loss Prevention Qualified (LPQ) Certification.
Advanced Wicklander-Zulawski Certification, Certified Forensic Interviewer a plus.
