This position will be located at the DCAA - Defense Contract Audit Institute in Sandy Springs, GA.
Serves as Chief, for a Leadership Academy training branch, at the Defense Contract Audit Institute (DCAI). Leads a team of instructors, course developers, program managers, and subject matter experts in the development and delivery of training and the management of training and development programs. Manages course development/revisions, to include live, virtual, and eLearning courses.
Duties
Serves as a Chief, Training Branch in the Leadership Academy, Defense Contract Audit Institute (DCAI).
Serves as a DCAA expert on audit learning theory.
Leverages data to inform decision making.
Advises on the application of training and learning techniques to accomplish special or unique training requirements.
Implements innovative and audit learning-based approaches to learning.
Reviews the instructional schedule and make adjustments as needs dictate to provide effective utilization of training resources.
Informs and coordinates relevant topics with Agency leadership.
Manages contracts and agreements.
Determines and recommends short and long-range requirements for staff to effectively and efficiently manage resources and lead branch personnel in support of Agency mission requirements.
Leads a team of instructors, course developers, subject matter experts, program managers, technical and administrative support personnel and provides direction, supervision and administrative management and oversight.
Conducts in class evaluations of instructors.
Works closely with the DCAI leadership in identifying and incorporating industry best practices in developing and executing DCAA's learning and development strategy.
Qualifications
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
You must meet the minimum qualification requirements as stated in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/Standards/group-stds/gs-prof.asp.
Specialized Experience: you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 or equivalent level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume. Specialized experience includes demonstrated experience as an audit learning theory subject matter expert; documented experience as a subject matter expert for the development, delivery, and design of leadership and supervisory training; demonstrated ability to manage developmental programs and write and revise training policies.
