This position is located in Field Operations Directorate, Office of Field Operations, Northeast Regional Office.
As an OPERATIONS SUPPORT SPECIALIST, you will provide a variety of management services essential to ensure the safety and efficiency of facility and security operations.
Duties
Coordinates and develops projects relating to building facilities including access, safety, building modifications, repairs and alterations.
Serve as points of contact for building issues and facility requirements.
Manages security program activities in any or all of the following security specializations: personnel, physical, contract, computer, information, operations and industrial.
Develops and/or implements procedures and practices to cover multiple security objectives and assign responsibilities for resolving security issues.
Coordinate facility matters with General Service Administration, lessors, contractors, and other building occupants.
Qualifications
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 12/05/2024.
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 12/05/2024.
GS-13: You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Project management experience in life cycle of real estate acquisition projects, from requirements development to lease procurement and the completion of tenant improvement build-out.
Applying and modifying, if necessary, established practices to specific problems related to building, office and space management, including how to treat unusual circumstances of situations.
Provides advice as a Subject Matter Expert on a variety of space management, procurement procedures and security related projects.
Performs functions relating to the acceptance, processing, and maintenance of access control systems and protocols, accounting of sensitive property items, and security clearance management.
