As a Supervisory Attorney Advisor at the GS-0905-15, you will be part of the senior leadership of the EEOC District. The incumbent of this position serves as Deputy District Director and shares in the overall responsibility of the District operations and is primarily responsible for the supervision and coordination, through subordinate supervisors, of the enforcement functions of the District Office.
Duties
Plans, directs, and coordinates the work of subordinate supervisors engaged in carrying out investigative and enforcement functions of the agency.
Oversees the Charge Receipt/Technical Information Unit which provides administrative and technical support to the enforcement units for the service of notices, conduct of counseling, pre-charge interviewing and receipt of inquiries.
Supervisory responsibility for the Enforcement Units which plan and conduct detailed and comprehensive investigations of charges of employment discrimination from planning through investigation to analysis of findings and reporting of results.
Oversees the Systemic Function which reviews and recommends appropriate subjects for in-depth investigation of alleged pattern and practice employment discrimination.
Provides oversight of negotiated settlements and conciliation agreements between EEOC and respondents. Provides administrative oversight in handling noncompliance as appropriate.
Requirements

- Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period
- Must have an Active BAR Membership in Good Standing. If selected, must maintain active bar membership in good standing while employed as an attorney with EEOC
- This position is in the Excepted Service
- This is not a remote position. You will be expected to report to the official duty station listed on this announcement. Your locality will be based on your official duty station.
Qualifications
For the GS-15:You must have earned a professional law degree (J.D. or LL.B.) from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association, be an active member of the BAR, and have 4 years of professional legal experience with at least one year being equivalent to the GS-14 level.
Professional legal education above the first professional law degree may be substituted for experience required as follows:(a) The second professional law degree (LL.M) may be substituted for one year of experience (b) The third law degree (J.S.D) may be substituted for one year of experience beyond the LL.M.
