If selected, you will be responsible for performing and conducting a wide variety of support work in the areas of budget and fiscal management, procurement and supply, data processing, property, time and travel, personnel support duties, and program record-keeping. This is not a remote position.

Duties

The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity. The duties may include, but are not limited to: Tracks financial expenditures for the work unit. Participates in the development of financial and budgetary data for preparation and presentation of the budgets. Serves as timekeeper for Time and Attendance processing, in accordance with appropriate (i.e., WebTA) policies and procedures. Prepares or provides guidance on domestic and foreign travel authorizations and vouchers for the work unit. Coordinates the work unit’s procurement activity for services, equipment, and supplies within the delegated micro purchase procurement authority. Assists with recruitment by initiating SF-52s, Requests for Personnel Actions, required for the office/program unit in accordance with established procedures. Maintains individual files on vehicles annotating scheduled and completed maintenance, receipts from service, mileage logs, etc. Maintains and manages administrative and program files in accordance with Federal records management policies, procedures, schedules and guidelines. Serves as office/program unit receptionist.

Requirements

  • You must be a US Citizen or US National.

  • The incumbent of this position must maintain the required background investigation or security clearance level and any applicable secure access credentials sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement, including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. FOR THE GS-06 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates: Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Managing Files. Experience responding to the public correspondence via: phone, email, fax as well as distribution of mail. Experience with the safe keeping of personnel records such as: awards and performance reports. Experience with Time and Attendance processing, and the use of travel systems. Note: There is no education substitution for this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
