Duties
You will install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain single-and-multiple fuel power boilers and associated auxiliary equipment.
You will monitor and test the operation of power boiler systems in order to identify malfunctions and potential problems with equipment such as automatic controls, valves, piping, pumps, and related components.
You will troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic controls.
You will operate and monitor single or multiple fuel boilers and associated auxiliary and pollution control equipment.
You will weld structures, plates, sheet metal, pipes, boilers, shafts, turbines, valves, tanks, and/or other comparable materials, parts, equipment, and machinery.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and maintain on-base driving privileges once obtained.
- You will be subject to callback for work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
- Callback and emergency overtime are requirements of this position.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Installs, repairs, and troubleshoots fuel power boilers, monitor boilers in order to identify malfunctions or potential problems, clean and replace parts, weld parts and apply all safety rules and regulations.
