About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is with the 93rd SIG BD located at Fort Stewart, GA.
Duties
Provides Command, Control, Communications and Computer Information Management (C4IM) customer service support to regional and installation users.
Reviews and evaluates the security impact of system changes including interfaces with other information systems (IS).
Conducts forensics analysis resulting from cybersecurity violations, unexplained IS performance anomalies and incidents, and classified data spills.
Supports the IA policy development by recommending, implementing, and enforcing cybersecurity compliance during and after the introduction of IT network systems and devices onto the RNEC network.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain the assigned security clearance/background investigation requirements for the assigned IT Level, in accordance with AR 25-2.
- The employee may be required to work overtime, on-call, holidays, or weekends based on mission needs.
- The employee is required to rotate through supported facilities or travel to regionally supported sites.
- Driver’s license is required to operate a motor vehicle to travel to supported facilities or regionally supported sites.
- Position may be designated Inclement Weather Essential.
- Position may be designated Key Essential.
- May be required to work shift work if the organization moves to 24 – 7 operations.
- This position requires business travel of up to 25%.
- This position requires the employee to obtain and maintain all applicable IA certifications (Baseline and Computing Environment) as well as the required CE training within 6 months of hire IAW DOD Directive 8570.1, dated 11 August 2015.
- Nondisclosure Agreement: This position requires access to classified information. Incumbent of the position will be required to complete a Standard Form (SF) 312, Classified Information Nondisclosure Agreement (NDA).

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled.
Specialized experience would be demonstrated by conducting risk assessments for information systems and reviewing threats or vulnerabilities in the network, developing a multitude of different reports pertaining to cyber security compliance and ensuring compliance with policy for the security, configuration, operation, maintenance, or installation of information technology systems.
