You will serve as an Equal Opportunity Assistant (OA) in the Executive Directorate, Code 100020 of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY.

Duties

You will provide administrative and technical support. You will organize and maintain filing systems for directives, regulations, manuals, and general administrative materials. You will prepare a variety of documents using office automation systems such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. You will ensure correspondence/parcels are mailed using the appropriate methods and all time-sensitive materials are tracked and delivered within the required timeframe. You will prepare monthly reconciliations and documents for quarterly audits. You will arrange meetings, trainings and events. You will be responsible for all procurement actions within the office.

Requirements

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NC-01 (GS-1/4) band level in the Federal Service or equivalent specialized experience in the private sector performing most or all of the following duties: (1) Generating reports, typing and ensuring grammatical correctness of correspondence and ensuring proper routing procedures are followed; (2) Operating office automation equipment and software; (3) Performing administrative and clerical duties i.e answering phone calls, organizing and maintaining files, screening visitors; (4) Procuring office supplies and performing monthly reconciliations; and (5) Communicating orally and in writing with all levels of personnel.
