THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST TITLE 32 PERMANENT, Position Description Number D1956000 and is part of the NH 157th Mission Support Group, National Guard.
This vacancy is to gather applications that may or may not result in a referral or selection.
Duties
The primary purpose of this position is to direct the development, coordination, and implementation of procedural changes; to direct the performance of management analysis and compliance for the activities under the jurisdiction of the Logistics Readiness Squadron Commander; direct the squadron readiness and training programs, and to direct resource management and systems management in support of unit mission. Position is responsible for the management, direction, and supervision of employees.

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- May have to do shift work on occasion, including drill weekends periodically.
Qualifications
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is a Title 32 excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard.
Military Grades: E8 to E9
Selectee(s) must be within the military grade(s) listed in this job announcement prior to the effective date of placement into the technician position.
Applicant(s) (Enlisted) who are over grade must clearly state, in their resumes, their intentions to willingly take a reduction in grade.
Compatible Military Assignments: 2S0X1
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training involving administration of supply management, storage, cataloging, packaging and distribution or other work which provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1-year specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-09). Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Specialized experience in supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. Experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc.
NOTE: Must have previous experience in the Logistics/Supply field.
It is not necessary for applicants to possess the MOS/AFSC listed as compatible to the position in order to apply, however applicant must meet the qualifications for the position. It is applicant's responsibility to acquire a compatible MOS/AFSC within 1 year of appointment. Coordinate with your unit's training representative to determine whether or not you can qualify for a specific MOS/AFSC and/or receive training within the 1 year timeframe before accepting the position.
