This vacancy is being filled through the Office of Personnel Management's Direct Hire Authority. This position is part of the Selective Service System, IT Directorate, Cybersecurity Division. This position serves as the Information Assurance Security Engineer.
Duties
Maintains a cognizance of the organization's Cybersecurity policy and develops procedures that implement initiatives to include remote access, cybersecurity tools, web cache, network demilitarized zone.
Provides security solutions and evaluates their impact on security infrastructure.
Sets and establishes requirements to develop and implement information systems securitytechnology and procedures, to include public key infrastructure and biometrics technologies that address access control.
Requirements

Qualifications
At the GS-13 level, you must meet the following qualification:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:
1) developing cybersecurity policies and procedures to implement security initiatives and/or requirements; 2) conducting cybersecurity assessments and recommending solutions to protect local and/or cloud networks and to protect information systems security; and 3) briefing management officials on cybersecurity findings and recommendations.
AND
IT-related experience which demonstrates the (four) required competencies - Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
