About the Position: This position is located at Elmendorf, Alaska.

Duties

Serve as the Director of Facility Management for physical plant Operations and Maintenance and Hospital Aseptic Management System (HAMS) operations for the 673d Medical Group, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Alaska Responsible to promote and maintain a safe and functional environment of care during peace time operations and war time contingencies. Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Serve as a facility specialist and functions as the staff authority for the 673d Medical Group commander on the operations, maintenance repair and improvement of the Medical Group. Support a mission that functions as a military treatment facility which provides primary, tertiary as well as referral care in a highly advanced care environment with state of art equipment/technology that includes specialized Operating Rooms.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• This positon requires on-call.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• This position has a requirement to lift up to 25 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
• This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
• In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
• This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random drug testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
• Overtime, holiday and weekend work schedule may be required.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
