This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. The incumbent will serve as the Library's representative to ensure proper customer service to researchers. These responsibilities include answering inquiries as to delivery and availability of archival materials that have been requested, including referral to other institutions containing materials not within NARA's custody.

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-11. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-07, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Performing archival functions, such as; monitoring, pulling and refiling archival records, reference and research room work, arrangement and description, holdings maintenance and/or digitization of records;
AND
Providing customer service and guidance with record research and reference.
OR
Education: 1 full year of graduate level education OR superior academic achievement.
OR
Combining education and experience: You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. The total percentage of experience and education must equal 100%.
