You will serve as a HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSER in the Environment Compliance Group (code 108.4), Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Protection Office, (TRF-code), Executive Department (code 100, Trident Refit Facility (TRIFFAC), Kings Bay, Georgia of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.
Duties
You will be responsible for examining processed and non-processed hazardous waste for storage and disposal to ensure accurate blending, combing and containment of hazardous waste.
You will be responsible for conducting inspections and makes determinations utilizing hazardous waste and environmental reference sources regarding the segregation, storage and preparation of hazardous wastes for shipment ad disposal.
You will be responsible for participating with environmental personnel in the development of new specialized processing procedures and providing recommendations for inspections and compliance issues.
You will be responsible for inspecting hazardous wastes that have been processed and containing for long terms to insure effective packaging for long-term containment.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
