This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12 to 13. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
Duties
Provides expert advice and guidance to staff principals and action officers on how best to articulate official Army decisions that impact acquisition policies and programs.
Serves as the POC for the Task Management Tool (TMT) business systems for the organization.
Responsible for managing, analyzing, operating and making improvements to the system.
Serves as the agency Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act (FOIA/PA) officer and assists in the implementation and execution of the FOIA/PA programs.
Compiles narrative and statistical material and prepares related background information concerning the status of taskers for use in briefing higher officials.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Program Management Certification within 5 years of entrance on duty.
- Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 15% of the time.

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). Specialized experience: 1) Developing policies and/or procedures for acquisition program. 2) Evaluating information to prepare written reports concerning the status of actions. 3) Establishing priorities of actions based on the sensitivity of the subject matter.
